Where pumping technology really matters

The essential contribution of vacuum assisted self-priming pumps to flood protection will be highlighted by world-leading designer and manufacturer of centrifugal pumps and systems, SPP Pumps, at this year’s Flood Expo - taking place at ExCeL London on 14th and 15th October.

As part of a packed programme of seminars and workshops, Duncan Jackson, Business Unit Manager for SPP’s Dewatering Division, will talk about the role pump applications must play in flood protection, looking specifically at SPP’s range of diesel driven vacuum assisted pumps.

As well as presenting on this subject, Duncan will bring the benefit of his 35 years’ experience in the pump industry to a live debate on emergency response and resilience … looking at whether the UK’s crisis plan is suitable for the country’s growing flood problem (Thursday, 12pm).

A live pump demonstration will also be ongoing throughout the event, outside on the banks of the River Thames.

On Stand F710, SPP Pumps will at the same time be showcasing its Q-Series range of dewatering pumps. Primarily sold to rental organisations, contractors, utility companies, open cast mines and municipalities, the award winning autoprime pumps offer numerous benefits - from full liquid containment and fuel savings to attenuated canopies, durability, reliability and excellent performance is guaranteed.

Duncan comments: “We found the Flood Expo to be a great opportunity last year, and we’re looking forward to this year’s event - it’s a great chance to talk to customers and industry colleagues about some of the big issues we face in this country, and of course how pumps can help.

“As the Autoprime Q-Series shows, we are committed to developing and providing quality products to meet today’s growing needs. Our comprehensive range, backed by dedicated expertise and support, is there to deliver the right solution where it really matters.”
