MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL WATER PUMP EXCELLENCE SINCE 1875
We have been designing, engineering and manufacturing high-performance centrifugal and submersible industrial water pumps since our founding in 1875.
The variety of our water pump product range provides flexibility for use across many industry applications including general pumping services for water supply, water and wastewater treatment, and desalination, but it’s in specialist applications where our customers have discovered our products, and our talented Water & Industry Division truly excel. Due our vast experience and robust reliability of our products, we collaborate with customers to provide solutions for complex and demanding fluid handling challenges such as those faced by high-value, off-shore oil and gas platforms and pump-as-turbine hydro-electric powerplants.
Finally, faced with increasing energy costs and time-sensitive sustainability targets we’ve worked with industry to develop our Lowest Lifecycle Cost Range, a series of pumps designed to offer lower long-term cost of ownership and greatly improve operational efficiencies to help customers achieve their net-zero carbon targets.

Our split case centrifugal pumps can feature a single double suction, or two single suction impellers supported between bearings. The casing is split axially, with opposing suction and discharge flanges to make maintenance simple.
With balanced bearings and a robust overall design, it’s not uncommon to find SPP horizontal split case pumps still in use after over 70 years of service, a testament to our quality processes.
Suitable for electric or diesel drives, our split case pump duties range between 200 USgpm and 5,000 USgpm, providing excellent opportunities to tailor our solution to your needs. We are proud to also boast the largest UL Listed horizontal fire pump to date – with a capacity of 8,000 USgpm.

We offer two types of Solids Handling Pumps. Our SHM range are horizontal non-clog single stage pumps with single suction and a back pull-out type design. Our SHS, vertical non-clog pumps are for wet pit applications. The pump section is suspended by a column pipe which also protects the transmission shaft.
Either pump type can be provided with a column length of up to 21 ft, and the impeller is single suction, non-clog, free flow and dynamically balanced. Both pump’s lubrication methods are greased based as standard, but SHM pumps have an optional oil version, if required.
TYPICAL INSTALLATIONS:
- Solid size up to 4 in.
- Back pull-out design
- Gland packed / Mechanical Seal
- 50 Hz / 60 Hz availability
- Also available in vertical execution
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:
- Water gravel operations
- Paper industry operations
- Sludge
- Sewage
- Power material slurries
- Sugar factory waste

Multi-stage pumps are designed to transfer clean liquids through several impellers that are built into a series of pumps, as opposed to one. They are typically useful in high head installations that require a heavy-duty long-life pump. Available horizontally or vertically high-pressure applications they are primarily useful for energy saving and varying ranges of flow/head circumstances.
Multistage pumps boast a variety of construction material options and their generously rated bearings meet the demands of both water and industrial applications. CFD-tuned hydraulics and state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques optimise efficiencies and minimise running costs, whilst rigid, durable and fabricated steel baseplates prevent distortion.
An SPP multi-stage, multi-outlet, pump system is installed within the fire system of The Shard in London, United Kingdom. The featured case study is exemplary of our many multi-stage pump installations.
Only available in Asian markets. Our range of Vertical Multistage Inline pumps provide a large variety of applications for excellent flexibility and are manufactured to the highest industry standard testing at our ISO ISO9001:2008, ISO14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 approved sites. Our pumps are capable of efficiently transferring liquids of low viscosity, non-inflammable and non-explosive, not containing solid particles or fibres.
