The Shard, London

Towering 309.6m, SPP Pumps were chosen to protect London's iconic Shard, the tallest building in Western Europe. 27 acres of diverse floor space includes 72 habitable floors, 306 flights of stairs and 44 elevators. SPP Pumps faced the challenge of a concept that has never been applied to a building of this height before, feeding a fire protection specialist sprinkler system whilst ensuring zone protection for all floors, removing the need for pressure reducing valves.

The Shard

Marina Bay Sands, Singapore

Transforming Singapore's waterfront, the Marina Bay Sands resort features three 50-storey, cascading hotel towers, restaurants, theatres, shopping and much more. SPP's fire safety pump sets are part of the fire protection system for Singapore's first-ever casino located within the resort. The twin tower project has 16 SPP pump packages installed across the site, comprising of two towers, reaching nearly 230 metres tall.

Marina Bay Sands

The Gherkin, London

The Gherkin, or its official name; 30 St Mary Axe, is one of the most iconic buildings in London. Standing at 180 metres (591 ft) tall and consisting of 41 storeys, it is home to numerous high profile tenants. Visitors and companies in The Gherkin are safeguarded daily by SPP’s fire protection products, all complying with the demanding requirement of the LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) standards.

Flame Towers, Baku

Flame Towers are the tallest skyscrapers in Baku, Azerbaijan with heights between 161m and 182m. They were completed in 2013 at a cost of $350million and are entirely covered with LED screens that display the movement of a fire visual effect, visible from the farthest points of the city. SPP Pumps are protecting these buildings and the people inside them from the dangers of fire with their multi-stage multi-outlet pumps.

Flame Towers

Marmaray Tunnel, Istanbul

SPP Pumps provides fire protection to the 3.4bn tunnel, linking the European and Asian sides of Istanbul with the railway; the world's deepest immersed tube tunnel. Impressively it includes 6 sets of pumps for 6 stations - Kazlicsesme, Yedikule, Yenikapi, Sirkeci, Üsküdar and AyrılıkçeÅŸmesi. Each set includes an electric, diesel and jockey pump all approved to UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and FM (Factory Mutual standards.

Caspian Sea

The Caspian Sea is the world’s largest inland body of water and a significant supplier of crude oil. SPP Pumps has supplied pumping equipment to many of the major international oil companies for a variety of applications. In fact, in excess of 450 SPP pumps have been installed on 70 fields around the world, from Azerbaijan to Zimbabwe with an equally impressive history of onshore installations.
